Walking With The Wounded
Established in 2010, Walking With The Wounded (WWTW) provides vulnerable veterans with independence through employment.
WWTW recognises the inherent skills of our Armed Forces personnel and provides transition support to help them into the civilian workplace. We offer assistance through our programmes to those vulnerable veterans who have been physically, mentally or socially disadvantaged by their service and assist them in gaining independence through new long term careers outside of the military. Assistance is also provided to homeless veterans and veterans in the Criminal Justice System.
We are proud to have been instrumental in designing and launching this innovative programme with the NHS. Step into Health was created by Ed Parker, CEO and Co-Founder of Walking With The Wounded, and the Senior Management Team of the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The programme provides a formal pathway for the Armed Forces community to discover the wide range of careers within the NHS to which the skills acquired in the Armed Forces are so well suited.
